Learning about SUDEP is scary.

The thought of a loved one being stolen so suddenly and with no warning IS a scary idea.

Researchers are still learning about SUDEP. The big questions we all have are, “CAN SUDEP be prevented?? Can I save my loved one from this fate? Can I protect them?”

The answer is both YES and NO. Similar to SIDS, there are things that we can do to help lower the risk. This doesn’t mean that we are guaranteed not to lose our loved one to SUDEP. But…
  • We have a right to know that SUDEP exists.

  • We have a right to know what our loved one’s risk is.

  • We have a right to provide our loved one with tools to help prevent SUDEP!

Brett’s Bands does not offer medical advice or make specific recommendations to treat your loved one. Speak to your epilepsy specialist for individual recommendations.
